Saw the guys off yesterday, Dana had a rocky start but everything turned out ok. He flipped shortly after taking off. Came back to shore and repacked his kayak and started again. Saw them twice afterward and everything was going good. We beleive they reached there goal of 23 miles yesterday. Will keep posting here when I hear from them. Carla (Dana's Mom)
Talked to Dana this evening. Did not get as far as they wanted. Weather played a big factor today. Rough waters. They are both doing fine. Cell reception was not the best. Till later Carla
I talked to Dana today all is well. Yesterday was a short day because of the weather and Sean rolled everything is fine though. I asked if they were sleeping ok and if they were sore Dana said they were a little sore not bad enough to take anything and sleeping well. They are trying to get to Harbor Springs today we will see.
Didn't quite make to Harbor Springs today they will cross the bay tomorrow first thing. Weather was good today water was somewhat calm. I have to send a food drop for them tomorrow that should take them to when I have to pick them up for the wedding Dana has to be in.
